I have been lucky enough to have been to many places in Scotland, largely the Highlands and Islands, but also to the ancient iconic fishing villages perched precariously on the cliffs along the coast of the Moray Firth, east of Inverness. A recent trip which was unusually wet drove me east to Dunbar and thence south through Northumberland and Holy Island. What a treasure of new painting spots I found.
